Federal Work Study & Grants

Loans

Many students use loans to help cover college costs beyond what scholarships and grants provide. If you鈥檙e borrowing as a first-year student, you鈥檒l likely use the Federal Direct Loan Program, which offers low-interest subsidized and unsubsidized loans through the U.S. Department of Education. Parents of dependent students can also apply for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan to help with remaining expenses.
