Application Checklist

Transfer & Alternative Credit

• Transfer Credit

  All coursework transferred to 66av福利导航 will be evaluated on a course by course basis. Transfer students must complete all requirements for the degree as stated in the catalog in force at the time of matriculation or a later edition of the catalog. Students transferring must complete all 66av福利导航 core requirements not met by transferred equivalent courses. Course work, at college-level, degree-granting institutions not accredited by regional accrediting agency but are accredited as degree-granting institutions by an accrediting agency recognized by the Department of Education, will be reviewed for transfer on a course by course basis.

  
  

  Credit determination is dependent upon course content and other documentation which the student maybe required to provide. The Registrar may consult with faculty as to the application of credit. No grade below a 鈥淐鈥� or equivalent will be accepted as transfer credit. Grade points from hours accepted as transfer credit are not included in the 66av福利导航 academic record. It is also important to note that students will not be allowed to duplicate credit. However, a student may petition to be granted an exception to these policies and have their credits and grade points considered. In that case, all credits and grades accepted by the Registrar鈥檚 evaluation of transfer credits from an accredited school will be accepted. Once a petition has been granted, the petition cannot be revoked.

  
  

  Transfer students who have completed less than 24 semester hours at an accredited institution must submit high school transcripts or GED scores, and unless otherwise exempt, SAT or ACT scores.

• Academy Credit

  66av福利导航 has established a faculty review process that allows the university to award credit for Fire and/or Law Enforcement Academy training. 66av福利导航 accepts up to 30 semester hours in academy credit. These credits may only be applied to the student鈥檚 elective requirements.

• Military Training and Experience

  Military credit evaluations are provided for all Active Duty, Reserve and Veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces. 66av福利导航 accepts up to 60 semester hours of Advanced Standing credit from coursework and non-duplicated training experiences. These credits may only be applied to the student鈥檚 elective requirements.

• Prior Learning Credit

  66av福利导航 accepts a maximum of 30 credit hours of Prior Learning credit from law enforcement training. Prior Learning Credit may only be applied to Graduate programs when it is completed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). These credits may only be applied to the student鈥檚 elective credit.

• Adult Degree Admissions Criteria

  Applicants are considered based on the total picture of the materials submitted to the University.

  
  

  Adult Degree applicants who have not completed college credit are considered competitive for admission if they have at least an average cumulative grade point average and rank in the top half of their graduating classes.

  
  

  Any completed college-level work is expected to reflect average academic performance. Students wishing to transfer to Bethel must be eligible to return to their previous college to be admitted to 66av福利导航.

  
  

  Each application is considered on an individual basis as no two students will present the same credentials.

• High School Curriculum

  Each student admitted to 66av福利导航 must have earned the minimum high school units as follows, or submit a passing combined score on the GED or the HISET:

  
  

  English鈥�4 units (Journalism, speech, or business communications may not be substituted.)

  
  

  Mathematics鈥�2 units (Preferably algebra I and II. Pre-algebra, arithmetic, applied mathematics, business mathematics, computer technology, or accounting I and II may not be substituted.)

  
  

  Natural/Physical Science鈥�2 units (One unit must be a laboratory science. Computer science may not be substituted.)

  
  

  Social Science鈥�2 units (Foreign language is not required; however, it is highly recommended.)

• High School Diploma Alternatives

  A high school equivalency diploma (GED) or (HISET) may be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma. A passing GED or (HISET) combined score is considered to be a 2.0 GPA. A special education diploma or high school certificate is not acceptable.
